Hope you all had a delightful Thanksgiving. May you go for your goals, create resolutions, benchmarks, and stick to them. And in all ways, I support you. Go for it. You can never have today back.
“What the heck is wrong with it?” Rory’s eyes were looking at the thing in the middle of the room with something stronger than wonder and lighter than fear.
“There’s nothing wrong with it, dummy. It’s a robot. I thought that would be apparent with the whole built-out-of-metal, non-human thing.” Anna knew her sister wasn’t thought to be the smartest in the family, but Anna always found herself defending her. There were times, though, where it just wasn’t justified. Times when she just said nonsensical stuff – stuff no one would make sense of. This was one of those times.
“Yeah, but why’s it all blinking and making all those noises in it, like it’s big, fat, metal body’s filled with mice, or crickets or something?”
“Yeah well,” Anna stopped there, not really sure how to go on and finish the story. “I bet you dollars to doughnuts Frankenstein didn’t get it on the first try either.”
Rory turned to her sister and slouched her neck a bit; she always considered this pose to be one displaying honesty. “Frankenstein was the doctor, dumb ball. Not the robot.”
