A NaNo summary

..and that was it. 30 days gone before you know it. For those of us who weren’t aware, or for those of you who only knew of the No-Shave November thing, here’s what NaNo is.

Familiarly called National Novel Writing Month, NaNoWriMo is using every day of November to write 50,000 novels, and for those of you who’ve never done something like that, it’s quite the project. Writing around 1,700 w0rds a day is something that requires some time and effort.

This is my 4th year and it was equally as enjoyable as the last few. It’s a great way to get involved in the writing community and it’s an event that’s done the world over. No matter where you are, there’s a community nearby. There are write-in events where you join others, fun challenges, and a great way to meet people and, most importantly, get your fingers on the keyboard. The point is you don’t have to have anything planned or outlined. You can, but it’s also a great project to just enjoy.

Something I recommend if you’re interested in writing.

Happy December, everyone.
